Oh No!

Oh No! Gasp!
Mixed Media, 8.5x11

This is a collage piece created in a deconstruction book. I love the idea of how an apple would feel if they saw how they are used.

Citrus Strata

Citrus Strata, oil pastel, 2010

One of my favorite pieces. I chose five inanimate objects, and placed them in different positions in a layer. The first layer is a wooden clog. The second layer is a pine cone. The third layer is a plastic bell pepper. The fourth layer is a wooden peg toy. The fifth layer is a bundle of plastic grapes. And the final layer is a plastic Christmas ornament. I used an analogous color scheme with a solid background to make the color really pop.

First Time

Black and White First Time, acrylic paint, 2011

My first attempt at a black and white painting of a still life consisting of two natural objects and one artificial object.
